PROPOSED LICENSE CATEGORIES AND FEES
The
proposed fees provided for discussion purposes only have been
arrived at by:
-
comparing fees that
are currently in place in former municipalities,
-
observing the
Municipal Act of Ontario regulation that requires that license fees
not exceed the cost of the licensing program including
administration, enforcement and prosecution,
-
keeping a revenue
neutral objective.
An additional $50 Processing fee will apply per
application. An additional $50 Transfer fee may apply to relocate
from one vending space to another.
1. EXHIBITIONS includes Retail
Exhibitions, Festival Exhibitions, Hobby Exhibitions, Flea Markets,
Farmers Markets, Outdoor vehicle or merchandise sales event
(off-site sales). In addition all vendors will be required to have
valid “Sellers” or “Refreshment” licenses.
$3,000 ANNUAL ($50 fee may be required for each event
within the year to cover the cost of updating documents and
notifying the Enforcement and Inspection Division of the details of
the new event.)
$ 300 PER EVENT (1 to 14
consecutive days) plus $50 per day over 14 days $ 150 DAY EVENT plus $50 per day
2. SELLERS includes itinerant sellers
selling goods, wares, merchandise or produce from place to place or
from a particular place, seasonal produce vendors, flower vendors,
pumpkin and Christmas tree vendors, may also include transient
traders, etc.

3. REFRESHMENT VEHICLES and REFRESHMENT
SELLERS includes vendors who go from place to place or to a
particular place to sell food products, ice cream and beverages sold
for immediate consumption, and includes vendors who cook the food in
the vehicle from which the food is sold.
